If phenomenology asks, what, existentialism asks, why? Why is the University here? Why is the Company here?why are we here? Why is the world here? Why is existence here?
It's a good question, an essential question for a person who thinks about anything.
It is going to occur to all of us sooner or later.
Before we get into any intellectual study, let's reason for just a minute like regular people.

Here at the University, we believe that existentialism in its pessimistic form orginates with satan not asking God why, because in fact he likes to exist, but Why on your terms, God? And this also is the question of Sartre, but the answer really is, it is not on my terms, people, but yours. Because we believe God would not create anything if He did not know in His heart that the creation would receive the gift gladly.
The problem is we don't treat each other the way we should.
This often starts in the beginning of a human existence; i.e. with the act of sexual intercourse.
The issue is so fraught with angst that we can't talk aobut it honestly.
THe leper sought refuge from a violent family in a ghetto of South Americans. She was raped by a Latin drug drealer whose mother had fled to the US to avoid domestic violence and who had broken out of prison where he had been for infiltrating high class hotels and stealing diamonds.
The morning after, he proudly asked her how she liked it. she said simply and frankly, I didn't like it. He threw her into a wall and put his hands around her neck, choking her within a few seconds of her life, and swearing in gutteral language that if she ever said so again, those would be her last words.
It was the mans' ego that was at stake, and it was a deadly game.

Because of the fear instilled in people by situations like this, the violent origins of the existence of this company were not clearly articulated, and instead, the compassion was stated to be for the mentally ill and the politically displaced.
This is also true; however, the root cause, the situation that brought these various groups of disparate individuals together; to wit, the personal physical violence of one human being on another, must be acknowledged as well.
We have to somehow own up, and confess that we are the problem, not God. WE wrecked the world and satan did not bully us, he wheedled and he whispered and he lied, and he continues to do this. Satan truly is the quintessential troll.
However now that things are bad, he bullies as well.
first he offered Christ PLATA in the desert, and later PLOMBO when he crucified him. So we will be looking at both forms of coercion. But we believe that deceit precedes violence in his playbook. IF the devil exists, and we believe firmly that he does, he seems to be more of an intellectual trickster than a bully.
